This October we held a readers’ evening at critically acclaimed restaurant the Game Bird, located in the Stafford London on St James’s Place. Guests enjoyed seasonal game dishes and British classics while exchanging stories of their recent adventures.

The well-attended event was hosted by Business Traveller editorial director Tom Otley, who was joined by Panacea Media managing director Julian Gregory.

At a pre-dinner reception, travellers mingled over champagne and nibbles, discussing business trips and sharing tips on bucket-list destinations. Readers were then welcomed into the Sutherland Room, an elegant private dining space sectioned off from the main restaurant, featuring original marble fireplaces and floral-upholstered leather chairs.

The three-course dinner started with a choice between smoked salmon tartare and a fittingly autumnal baked squash custard with Brighton Blue cheese, walnuts and apple. Mains included a partridge, leek and ham pithivier, and a vegetarian alternative of hay-baked celeriac with braised onion, marmite butter and sorrel cream.

Guests were then presented with a coffee crème brûlée topped with milk ice cream, followed by petits fours and tea and coffee. Between courses, readers swapped seats to meet other guests from a wide range of industries.

The next Business Traveller readers’ event is an exclusive opportunity to get expert answers to all of your health questions, and takes place at Bupa Cromwell Hospital on November 20. To register your interest and find out more about future events, visit businesstravellerevents.com
