1 Dec 2004 by Alex McWhirter

It has been a good year for Business Traveller magazine.
In November we were named Business Travel Consumer Publication of the Year at the Carlson Wagonlit Business Travel Journalism Awards, while Alex McWhirter, who has worked for Business Traveller for over 20 years, was a finalist in both the Business Travel Journalist of the Year and the Best Writer on Air Transport categories.
Mark Frary, a regular contributor to the magazine and website, won the Best Writer on Technology prize at the Carlson Wagonlit ceremony and the British Guild of Travel Writers named Sue Bryant's article on in-flight medical emergencies in Business Traveller the Best Trade/Business Feature in their 2004 awards.
Julian Gregory, Managing Director of Business Traveller said: ?These awards recognise the commitment, dedication and excellence of our editorial team.  Our continued investment in the best staff, freelancers and our global network of offices gives us the knowledge that others find hard to beat.?
