    Good Morning to you all.

I apologise because I am sure it has been covered, but I am 70+ and cannot recall all topics.

I have a 239 minute flt delay on BA using AVIOS. Please, can someone advise me if I have a cliam for flt delay, who do I contact and how I go about it? I have seen this topic/subject but I cannot recall when.

MY teenage son has half term and I have to collect him from Boarding school. Thank you in advance to who ever replies to me!

Your redress is (or could be) under EU261, but it depends on where you are travelling from/to.

Have a look at this thread.

Interesting you say 239 minutes as the cut off for longer flights is a minimum 4 hour delay. I have heard a few anecdotal examples of flights miraculously arriving about 2 mins before compensation is due to kick in.

    Good Morning, SimonS,

Thank you for your reply. I will check your thread out, but at the moment I am dog tired as the flight was 4+ hrs late on a BKK-LHR routing, due to a mechanical on the outbound flt and thus the return was delayed due to the late arrival of the incoming A/C.

I will follow your thread up but right now, I can hardly keep my eyes open! Thank you for your reply.

try this website to see if you are entitled any compensation. I think 3 hrs is the threshold

They could handle the complaint, but will charge you commission. Previously I’ve claimed directly with the airlines. Air France paid up within 72 hours, Virgin Atlantic were slower and in both cases there were no quibbles.

Thank you to all of you for helping me!
I have completed one of those on line forms and submitted it to BA. I will await the outcome, and eventually post the result here. If not succesful I will use one of the companies and just pay the commision.
it has been school half term and I was busy with my son!

    Good Morning to you all.

I have been offered EUROS 300.00 for a 4 HOUR DELAY on a BANGKOK-LONDON FLIGHT. PLEASE can someone advise me if that is correct? One company I contacted said I should receive EUROS 500.00, but then they take upto 30% for commision. I am a pensioner and confused about all compensation claims.
Thank you in advance for your advice.

Stop grumbling….get your compensation while you can….after Brexit “our” UK government will cancel all this compensation nonsense as they will do away with all useful EU legislation and only keep mad Theresa May’ s idiotic border controls….

    Exactly my thoughts.

Recently, I’ve read a few comments about the UK cancelling flight delay compensation if the vote for BREXIT is successful – is there any hard evidence to support this?

If British airlines continue to fly to the EU, and I presume they will, they will still have to pay compensation on those flights.

Fully agree with you though Peter.
