Aman Group, which recently announced plans to open the Aman Dubai within the next few years, has now announced that it will also open a second destination in the heart of the city, the Janu Dubai, by 2027.

While the Aman Dubai will be located in a prime location along the Jumeirah Beach strip, the Janu Dubai will be located in the heart of the city, in the Dubai International Financial District (DIFC) area.

The announcement follows the successful launch of Janu’s inaugural property in March earlier this year, the Janu Tokyo – a 122-guest room property in the Japanese capital’s trendy Azabudai Hills area. Janu – derived from the Sanskrit word for ‘soul’ – is a new hotel brand from the Aman Group designed for a new era of restorative travel, which aims to enrich lives through transformative experiences that celebrate genuine human interaction, playful expression, and social wellness.

The new property will be designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architecture practice Herzog & de Meuron, and will offer sweeping views across the city skyline, with the Burj Khalifa on one side, and lush gardens on the other. It will encompass 150 hotel rooms, as well as a limited number of Janu branded and fully serviced residences, a member’s club, several dining and bar concepts, dedicated event spaces, and an extensive wellness and fitness centre.

Shahab Lutfi, founder of H&H Development, added: “We are delighted to collaborate with Aman Group to bring yet another successful project, Janu Dubai, to the heart of DIFC. This exceptional property is set to provide residents and visitors alike with an outstanding level of service and amenities, offering transformative experiences and adding a standout development characterised by progressive and timeless design to the branded residence and hospitality sector. By working closely with Aman, we aim to bring exclusive and unique spaces to life.”

Aman Group’s forthcoming plans in the Middle East include properties confirmed in Saudi Arabia’s AlUla, Wadi Safar, and Diriyah Gate. The brand also plans to launch Aman at Sea, a joint venture with Cruise Saudi, by 2027. Janu Dubai and Aman Dubai are currently in the pre-development phase.
