Hilton has announced plans to add two properties to its Rotterdam portfolio next year.

Two existing hotels will be reflagged as Mainport Hotel Rotterdam, Curio Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre.

The properties will initially trade as Hilton affiliate hotels, before rebranding in 2024 following renovations.

The 215-room Mainport Hotel Rotterdam is situated on the banks of the River Maas, and features a restaurant and cocktail bar, as well top floor spa and fitness facilities, and 600 sqm of meeting and events space across ten rooms.

Meanwhile the adjacent DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre (previously trading as Inntel Hotels Rotterdam Centre) features 265 rooms, as well as its own swimming pool and spa facilities.

The two hotels will join Hilton’s Rotterdam portfolio including the Hilton Rotterdam and Motto by Hilton Rotterdam Blaak, the latter of which opened in November last year.

Motto by Hilton debuts in Rotterdam

In total the group operates 15 properties across the Netherlands under its Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts, Hilton Hotels and Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Motto by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton brands.

Commenting on the news Patrick Fitzgibbon, senior vice president, development, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton, said:

“Hilton has a proud legacy in Netherlands dating back more than 60 years, and we’re actively growing our portfolio to cater to customer demand, with 18 hotels now trading or under development.

“Rotterdam is a dynamic city with a vibrant cultural scene, and the arrival of Curio Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton will add to its appeal as a destination. With this partnership with Annexum, we will enhance Hilton’s presence in Rotterdam, serving an even greater variety of traveller needs.”
