
IHG Hotels and Resorts has announced plans to open a flagship InterContinental property in France next year.
Château Mont Royal – situated in La Chapelle-en-Serval to the north of Paris and currently operating as Château Hotel Mont Royal – will become the InterContinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal following renovation.
Features will include 107 rooms, two restaurants and a bar and summer terrace, as well as an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, spa, tennis court and 11 meeting spaces.
The château is located around 40km from the centre of Paris, and around 20km from Paris CDG airport. It is also situated around 10km south of Chantilly, home to the Musée Condé (housed within the Château de Chantilly), and Chantilly Racecourse.

InterContinental Chantilly – Château Mont Royal will join five existing InterContinental properties in France :
- InterContinental Bordeaux – Le Grand Hotel
- InterContinental Lyon – Hotel Dieu
- InterContinental Marseille – Hotel Dieu
- InterContinental Paris – Champs-Elysées Etoile
- InterContinental Paris – Le Grand
The brand’s French portfolio also previously included the InterContinental Carlton Cannes, which closed for a two-year refurbishment and recently reopened under IHG’s Regent Hotels and Resorts collection.
