Accor has opened its third ibis Styles property in Romania’s capital Bucharest.

The 84-room ibis Styles Bucharest Airport is located around half a mile from Romania’s busiest airport, Henri Coanda International.

The property features a mixture of standard, superior and family rooms, with décor inspired by the property’s owner, and former chairman of Etihad Airways Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan’s love of aviation.

Features include a restaurant, bar, meeting space and onsite parking, and guests benefit from free wifi and breakfast, as well as a free shuttle bus to the airport terminal.

Ibis Styles Bucharest Airport joins the existing ibis Styles Bucharest City Center and ibis Styles Bucharest Erbas, as well as properties under the brand in Arad, Galati and Timisoara.

Ibis Styles hotels are also under development in the Romanian cities of Pitesti and Sibiu.

Commenting on the opening Valentin Gheorghe, general manager, ibis Styles Bucharest, said:

“Traffic at Henri Coanda International Airport exceeded 12.6 million travellers in 2022 and it continues to grow, reflecting the attractiveness of our capital city and its surroundings to both tourists and business travellers.

“As hoteliers, it is our mission to ensure that those who visit us enjoy comfort and quality services. Ibis Styles is the ideal brand to offer that, because it combines the strength of one of the leading international networks – Accor, with the passion and creativity of a local team of professionals who are dedicated to transform every visit into a joyful and surprising experience.”
