SAUDIA has unveiled its latest business class suite at this week’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM).

The carrier is fitting Thompson Aero’s VantageSOLO product onto its forthcoming fleet of Airbus A321 XLR aircraft.

Regular readers will be familiar with the suite, as it is the same product used by JetBlue on its A321LR aircraft which serve the carrier’s transatlantic routes to London.

According to SAUDIA the suite will offer “a privacy shield around the back and an additional [sliding] door at the aisle”, as well as an 18-inch IFE screen.

The airline plans to roster the A321 XLR onto routes to Europe, the Indian subcontinent and Africa, with highlighted destinations including Milan, Barcelona, Brussels, Rome, the Maldives and Dakar.

SAUDIA also confirmed that it will fit Safran’s Z400 economy seat on the aircraft, featuring a 13-inch IFE screen and “generous seat recline”.

The airline is one of several Middle Eastern carriers to unveil new business class seating products at ths year’s ATM, with Etihad showcasing its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner Business Studio, and flydubai unveiling its new B737 Business Suite.
