Hilton has opened the latest London hotel under its budget Hampton brand, situated on the eastern edge of the City of London.
The 278-room Hampton by Hilton London City is located on Osborn Street close to Aldgate East Underground station.
Brand standards include free wifi and hot breakfast, and the hotel also features an open-concept communal lounge with seating and a bar area, as well as a fitness centre with Peloton bike.
Tophotel.news reports that the hotel is housed within an existing 1960s building which was formerly home to the four-star Arbor City Hotel.
Hilton currently operates around 2,900 Hampton properties in 33 countries and territories, having reached the milestone of 2,500 hotels in 2019.
The group is also set to open the 107-room Hampton by Hilton London Old Street this summer, located on Westland Place around five minutes’ walk from Old Street Underground and rail station.
Commenting on the news Jay Ahluwalia, principal director at Dominus, said:
“We are delighted to announce the opening of Hampton by Hilton London City. We sensed there was an incredible opportunity here to make so much more of the existing building and unlock the value of this site.
“The hotel is ideally positioned between the corporate centre of the City of London and many of the capital’s cultural attractions, with Brick Lane and Shoreditch a stone’s throw away.
“This project is a testament to our ability to deliver market-leading assets and reflects our strong commitment to the hospitality sector. We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Hilton and look forward to working together to create memorable experiences for our guests.”
