IHG Hotels and resorts has opened its second dual-branded property in Chicago, with the unveiling of the Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites O’Hare Airport.

The hotels are located within five miles of the airport, in the city’s suburb of Rosemont.

The nine-floor property offers a total of 284 keys – 139 rooms at the Holiday Inn and 145 suites at the Staybridge hotel.

Shared facilities include an indoor pool, fitness centre and outdoor patio, as well as midwestern focused Land and Lake Restaurant, and 9,000 square feet of meeting and events space.

The Holiday Inn property is also the brand’s first hotel in the Americas to feature its latest ‘H5’ room design concepts, which were first unveiled in 2019, and which debuted in Australasia in 2021.

Holiday Inn and Staybridge Suites O’Hare Airport are the latest in a raft of IHG properties to open in Chicago in the last 12 months, following Avid Hotel Chicago O’Hare Des Plaines in May 2022, and the dual-branded Voco Chicago Downtown and Holiday Inn Chicago Downtown Wolf Point late last year.
