Rosewood Hotels and Resorts is set to open a new property in Saudi Arabia’s Amaala development in the north-west of the kingdom.
Rosewood Amaala will feature 110 guest rooms and suites, and 25 Rosewood Residences too. The property will offer several culinary experiences including fine dining, casual eateries and club lounges.
It is being designed by architecture firm, ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel. Specific attention in being paid to ensure that the hotel’s design doesn’t disrupt the natural flora and fauna.
As a regenerative destination, Amaala will be powered by 100 per cent renewable energy and aims to have zero-carbon footprint and zero waste to landfill as well. The endangered Hawksbill and Green Turtles have nesting sites around the beaches of the upcoming Rosewood Amaala hotel, and hence all construction and design have been centered around ensuring the turtle population is left unaffected. Rosewood Amaala will be surrounded by the world’s fourth-largest reef. To protect the coral reefs that wrap around the resort, the property will also provide two rock pools, allowing guests safe access to the water and sand.

A highlight at Rosewood Amaala will be its wellness offering of the Asaya Spa which will also feature private treatment pavilions.

Rosewood Amaala joins the brand’s pipeline of projects set to open in the Middle East including Rosewood Doha (2023), Rosewood Riyadh (2025) and Rosewood Red Sea too.
Rosewood Amaala will be part of Red Sea Global’s Amaala destination, an integrated wellness haven.Two other wellness-focussed properties have recently been announced for Amaala.
Jayasom Wellness Resort, Amaala will feature 177 keys and is situated in Triple Bay. Apart from an adults-only zone, the property will also feature residences available for sale to private owners.
Clinique La Prairie Health Resort in Amaala meanwhile will be a wellness-focused property located in Amaala’s Triple Bay hub and will include 13 villas, as well as 52 rooms and suites.
