Premier Inn will welcome its second Dublin city centre hotel on Monday.

The new 113-room property is located on Gloucester Street South, a short walk from Trinity College, Temple Bar and North Docklands.

Rooms come with double or kingsize beds, free wifi, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Accessible rooms are also available, and breakfast and dinner is served at Thyme Bar and Grill.

“The new Gloucester Street South hotel kicks off an exciting year ahead for Premier Inn in Ireland.  It is the first of four new Premier Inn hotels we are on track to open in Dublin and Cork city centres this financial year as we work towards our target of 4,000 Premier Inn rooms across Ireland,” said Matt Gent, development manager for Premier Inn in Ireland.

“The new ten-storey is located on the corner of Princes Street South and Gloucester Street South and gives us a presence in the south of Dublin for the first time. It strengthens our network in the city centre once again and I am sure it will be a very popular choice with our business and leisure customers,” Gent added.

This is the brand’s second Dublin city centre property, following the opening of Premier Inn Dublin City Centre (Temple Bar) at the end of 2021. The brand also operates a 213-bedroom hotel close to Dublin Airport.

Three additional new openings in Dublin and Cork are scheduled within the next year, as Premier Inn looks to rapidly expand its presence. This will include a 151-room property in The Liberties neighbourhood, a 262-room hotel in North Docklands, and a 187-room Premier Inn in Cork City Centre.
