Jayasom, a wellness resort operator, has unveiled plans to open a new property in Saudi Arabia’s Amaala destination which is being developed by Red Sea Global (RSG).

Jayasom Wellness Resort, Amaala will feature 177 keys and is situated in Triple Bay. Apart from an adults-only zone, the property will also feature residences available for sale to private owners.

The announcement of this property comes days after Clinique La Prairie Health Resort in Amaala, another wellness-focused property, was announced for the destination.

The adults-only zone at the Jayasom resort will be dedicated to “contemplation, healing, and self-discovery.” Meanwhile, there is a family section of the resort where communal activities will be encouraged.

There will be approximately 7,000 sqm of space dedicated to covering disciplines including holistic health, fitness, physiotherapy, nutrition, aesthetic beauty, and spa treatments. The spa has been designed with two distinct areas – a quieter adults-only space and a more energetic family space.

Jayasom noted that the multiple dining outlets will offer guests “conscious cuisine”.

It added that the resort will draw on “Western evidence-based practice, holistic remedies, and local wisdom.”

Services at the wellness resort will include tailor-made movement-based programmes to build strength and flexibility to minimally invasive beauty procedures using US FDA-approved technologies. To deliver on the resort’s positioning, staff at the property will include trained therapists and medically-certified specialists.

“We are delighted to announce our inaugural flagship property and look forward to sharing our integrative wellness approach with visitors and residents at Amaala. Health is a key motivator for travellers today and we are honoured to be leading the way on this ambitious project in partnership with RSG,” said Karen Campbell, CEO of Jayasom.

Jayasom Wellness Resort, Amaala will form part of the first development phase of Amaala, which expects to welcome its first guests in 2024. The first phase consists of eight resorts offering upwards of 1,300 hotel keys. Upon completion, Amaala will comprise of over 3,000 hotel rooms across 25 hotels, and approximately 900 luxury residential units.

John Pagano, group CEO of Red Sea Global, added: “Jayasom will offer our guests a holistic sanctuary where they will be surrounded by the stunning natural landscape of the Red Sea coastline. We want visitors to truly appreciate the beauty of this unique destination while focusing on their transformative journey through the world-class wellness facilities on offer.”
