IHG Hotels and Resorts has opened voco Dubai The Palm, a brand-new beachfront hotel located on the Palm Jumeirah.

The 138-key voco Dubai The Palm offers guests direct access to the Palm West Beach promenade as well as a stretch of the hotel’s private beach.

Culinary options at the property include all-day dining venue Maison Mathis which serves European cuisine, with a focus on Belgian food. Frenia, the rooftop pool and Mediterranean lounge bar with commanding views of Ain Dubai and the sea, will open next month.

Amenities at the hotel include a rooftop pool and a fitness centre which is open throughout the day. The property also has dedicated meeting rooms available for conferencing and business gatherings.

As part of its sustainability measures, voco Dubai The Palm says that it has a sustainable water system, duvets made of recycled plastic, and aerated showers to reduce water usage too.

IHG currently has 18 hotel brands and over 6,000 operational hotels in more than 100 countries.

It has been rapidly expanding the international presence of its voco brand. In France, the 264-key voco Paris Porte de Clichy will be a conversion property located in the city’s 17th arrondissement and will open in the summer of this year.

A 193-key voco Madrid Centre Retiro is set to open in April 2024 in Spain.

Meanwhile, IHG will also convert Corbett Aamod Spa and Resort into India’s first voco hotel. The new voco Jim Corbett is scheduled to be rebranded by July 2024. Further East, a new-build voco Osaka Central is set to open Japan in 2023.
