Brazilian carrier Azul Airlines has announced plans for a new nonstop service between Sao Paulo and Paris.

The airline confirmed via its official Facebook page that it will offer six flights per week between Sao Paulo’s Campinas airport and Paris Orly, starting from April 26.

The route will be operated by the carrier’s new A350-900 aircraft, with the following schedules:

  • Flights depart Campinas 2300 (every day except Tuesday), arriving into Paris Orly at 1130 the following day
  • Flights depart Paris Orly at 1530 (every day excerpt Wednesday), arriving into Campinas at 1645.

Viracopos Campinas International airport is located some 100km north of Sao Paulo, compared to Sao Paulo/Guarulhos International Airport which is situated less than 30km northeast of the city. The latter offers flights to Paris CDG with Air France and LATAM.

Azul’s webpage promoting the new service states that the carrier offers free buses connecting Sao Paulo (Congonhas, Barra Funda and Shopping Tambore) with Campinas airport.
