Bhutan’s Department of Tourism has confirmed that a total of 16 Bhutanese tourism brands will participate at South Asia’s Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2023, taking place in Delhi from February 09 – 11, 2023. Furthermore, Bhutan Airlines will be extending special promotional fares during the show, as well as offering a lucky draw prize for anyone who visits the DoT stand, to win one of three return economy flights from Delhi, Kolkata or Guwahati to Paro.

During the event, Bhutan Tourism will showcase ‘what’s new’ in Bhutan after reopening to tourists in September 2022, and raising awareness around its new national brand ‘Believe’; a campaign that inspires a new vision of the future to its citizens. “Believe” is reflective of Bhutan’s character and landscapes, history and ambitions, which are bold, vivid, richly storied and utterly distinctive.

Bhutan Airlines has confirmed that it will be offering a 15 per cent discount on any flights booked during the show, as well as a 25 per cent discount for group bookings of 10 people or more. The discounts are only applicable on their Indian sector flights only.

SATTE is Asia’s leading tourism exhibition that offers a comprehensive platform to domestic and international buyers and professionals from across the travel, tourism, and hospitality industry.

Bhutan, a sovereign nation throughout its history is shrouded in an enigmatic aura of mystery, mysticism, and spirituality. A Buddhist kingdom, Bhutan is renowned for its mountains and monasteries, rich biodiversity, pristine forests, rivers, glacial lakes, waterfalls and striking natural beauty. Most importantly, it is loved by visitors for the welcome that its people extend to them. The only country in the world that uses the happiness of its people as a guiding principle that underpins everything, Bhutan is notably one of the very few carbon-negative countries in the world (in 2021, Bhutan sequestered 9.4 million tonnes of carbon against its emission capacity of 3.8 million tonnes).

Carissa Nimah, Chief Marketing Officer, Department of Tourism, Bhutan, says: “Bhutan is already an incredibly alluring destination, yet it has so many layers to be revealed and shared. There is so much going on in Bhutan at the moment – new itineraries, new experiences, and new opportunities to connect with what is real and authentic in travel. Bhutan is honoured to be part of SATTE 2023, and we look forward to connecting once again with our Indian travellers, partners and friends.”
