Lufthansa has announced four more long-haul destinations for its new B787-9 aircraft.
From March 26 the carrier’s Dreamliner aircraft will operate six flights per week from Frankfurt to Dallas Fort Worth, as well as four flights per week to Montreal (increasing to daily from May 1).
Lufthansa’s B787-9 will also be rostered onto flights to Austin and Austin from “early May”.
The German flag carrier took delivery of its first B787 in August 2022, and has so far welcomed three Dreamliner aircraft into its fleet, with two more B787-9s set to be delivered “shortly”.
The aircraft had originally been destined for Hainan Airlines, and have retained the line-fitted layout and seating, albeit with Lufthansa colours and branding.
There are 26 business class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, with 21 seats in premium economy (configured 2-3-2) and 247 in economy (3-3-3).
Frankfurt-New York Newark was the first long-haul route for Lufthansa’s Dreamliner, and last month the carrier said that the B787 would be rostered onto its Frankfurt-Detroit route from February 13.
