The Chedi Trojena will open within the giga project of Neom located along the northwest corner of Saudi Arabia.

General Hotel Management (GHM) has signed an agreement with Neom Hotel Development to manage the upcoming property.

The Chedi Trojena is located within the Slope Residences in Trojena’s Relax Cluster that focuses on rejuvenation and wellness programmes. There are a total of six clusters within Trojena: Gateway, Discover, Valley, Explore, Relax and Fun.

“Trojena redefines the understanding of ultra-luxury hospitality and mountain tourism. With GHM’s international acclaim in operating iconic resorts globally, we share the same resolve to elevate the travel experience for discerning guests. The Chedi Trojena will serve as a luxurious sanctuary in the [region’s] first outdoor ski resort, where world-class sporting events, art exhibitions, concerts, and cultural festivals will be staged,” said Philip Gullett, executive director and region head at Trojena.

Chris Newman, executive director of Hotel Development at Neom, added: “The Chedi brand has a proven track record of creating inimitable and authentic hospitality concepts. By capturing this spirit of luxury escapism, we can deliver on our promise of giving visitors something that they have never seen before.”

Construction on Trojena commenced in December 2022 and is slated to welcome its first guests in 2026.

It will feature 30km of ski slopes for visitors, ultra-luxury and wellness hotels and resorts as well as over 100 indoor and outdoor experiences available all year-round.

Ennismore to open two hotels in Saudi Arabia’s Neom

GHM is the second hotel partner announced for Trojena which is also the host venue of the 2029 Asian Winter Games. In October, Neom Hotel Development inked a deal with Ennismore as its inaugural hotel partner. The deal will see two of Ennismore’s brands – 25 Hours Hotels and Morgans Originals – open properties in Trojena.

Neom aims to attract more than five million visitors annually by 2030.
