US railroad company Amtrak has launched a promotion for its USA Rail Pass, which allows customers to travel on up to ten segments over a 30-day period.
The pass is currently available for $299, a saving of $200 on the normal price, with the discount valid on purchases made by January 20.
Once bought, the USA Rail Pass is valid for 120 days, or 30 days once the first of up to ten travel segment has been used.
Note that where a trip involves a connection, two segments will be used.
The USA Rail Pass is issued for Coach class, with no upgrades allowed to business class or private room accommodation.
The pass is valid for travel on all Amtrak routes, with the exception of Acela, Auto Train, Maple Leaf (Canadian stations only) and Thruway Bus Series 7000-7999 services.
Amtrak Guest Rewards members earn two points per dollar spent on each USA Rail Pass purchased.
