Members of Singapore Airlines’ loyalty programme Krisflyer will now be able to convert miles to Marriott Bonvoy points.
The two-way conversion programme enables travellers to redeem the converted miles for stays at more than 8,100 participating Marriott International properties worldwide.
Members of Marriott Bonvoy, meanwhile, have already been able to convert points to Krisflyer miles for flights, car rentals, shopping and dining rewards.
Travellers will need to link their Krisflyer and Marriott Bonvoy accounts on singaporeair.com to benefit from this initiative. To convert miles into points, login to your Krisflyer account, click on ‘Miles’ and then ‘How to Use’.
The conversion rates are as follows:
- 2 Krisflyer miles can be converted to 1 Marriott Bonvoy point
- 3 Marriott Bonvoy points can be converted to 1 Krisflyer mile
Note that a minimum of 3,000 Krisflyer miles is required for each conversion, and a maximum of 180,000 Krisflyer miles for conversion per calendar year. Additionally, Krisflyer miles converted cannot be reversed.
Once converted, the points will automatically be transferred to the member’s Marriott Bonvoy membership account. Singapore Airlines says that “in most cases”, this will take up to eight weeks.
