UAE national carrier Etihad Airways is set to increase the frequency of its flights to Bangkok from Abu Dhabi beginning this March.

From March 26, 2023, it will double its frequency and fly twice a day on the Abu Dhabi-Bangkok route, providing a total of 14 weekly nonstop services to Bangkok airport (BKK).

The flights will offer both business and economy class cabins. The schedule of these flights are below:

Arik De, chief revenue officer, Etihad Airways, said: “With our convenient morning departure from Abu Dhabi, our second Bangkok flight has optimised timings for those UAE residents wishing to have a break in Thailand. Moreover, the return departure from Bangkok allows for Thai residents to arrive in Abu Dhabi in the morning to have a head-start in exploring what the city has to offer.”

Etihad also announced that it would be ramping up services to another Asian city – Shanghai – next month. Starting February 2023, the airline will begin an additional weekly flight to Shanghai from Abu Dhabi. It will therefore have two weekly flights to Pudong International airport (PVG) using its Boeing 787 and 777 aircraft.

With increased frequency on many of its routes, the airline will also reintroduce four of its A380s into its fleet starting from the summer of 2023. The A380s’ return will also be supported by the addition of five of its smaller A320 siblings.
