Marriott is continuing the rollout of its “new vision” for the Sheraton brand, with the addition of four Chinese properties featuring the modernized design concept.
The group announced plans to transform the Sheraton brand back in 2019, with Scott McCoy, Marriott’s vice president global operation referring to it at the time as “Dusting off an icon”.
The first Chinese property featuring the new design was unveiled last year, and a total of eight hotels in greater China have either opened or being renovated, including the new Sheraton Xi’an Chanba, which features 228 residential-style rooms and suites, as well as a Sheraton Club with skyline views of the city.
Other Chinese hotels to take on the new design include Sheraton Xi’An South, Sheraton Ningbo Xiangshan Resort, and Sheraton Nanjing Kingsley Hotel and Towers.
These additions join Sheraton Guangzhou Hotel, Sheraton Mianyang, Sheraton Zhaoqing Dinghu, and Sheraton Chengdu Pidu under the new vision, with Sheraton Beihai Resort and Sheraton Lanzhou Anning set to open this year.

So far around 30 Sheraton hotels now feature the new design, including three refurbished properties in Canada, and the renovated Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Centre, and.
