Easyjet has announced plans to fly between Birmingham and Milan next summer.

The thrice-weekly seasonal service to Milan Malpensa will commence on June 26, 2023, with flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays.

The new route will be Easyjet’s 11th from Birmingham airport, with other destinations including Amsterdam, Belfast International, Edinburgh, Geneva, Glasgow and Lisbon.

Milan Malpensa is one of Easyjet’s biggest hubs outside of the UK, with over 60 routes including UK flights to and from Edinburgh, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester.

The airline also serves Milan Linate and Bergamo airports from Gatwick airport.

Commenting on the news Tom Screen, aviation director at Birmingham airport, said:

“We’re thrilled Easyjet is adding further connectivity between the second cities of Britain and Italy. I have no doubt these regular BHX-MXP flights will be well subscribed by customers from both countries.”
