Travellers visiting Virgin Australia’s airport lounges in the lead up to Christmas may have the chance to grab a complimentary massage.

The carrier has partnered with Australian beauty brand Appelles to offer pop-up massage parlours at its lounges in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney during December.

The company’s ‘Tranquility Angels’ will be on hand to offer guests hand, neck or back massages using Appelles products.

The “festive roadshow” will visit Adelaide airport on December 1 and 2 between 1500 and 1800, followed by Melbourne on December 8 and 9, Sydney on December 15 and 16, and finally Brisbane on December 22 and 23.

According to travelweekly.com.au, Appelles brand ambassadors will also be on hand to offer travellers a sample of the firm’s signature range, with guests able to avail of an exclusive discount to purchase items which can then be delivered to their door in time for Christmas.

The move follows the recent launch of Virgin Australia’s middle seat lottery initiative, giving passengers sat in middle seats on domestic flights the chance to win one of 26 prizes including a cruise, a helicopter pub crawl, and Platinum Velocity Frequent Flyer Status along with one million points.

The lottery will run until April 23, 2023, with a winner randomly selected every week and notified by email.
