Emirates Flight Catering (EKFC) has launched a new service to cater for private events within the UAE.
It will offer tailor-made menus and as part of its new private events catering portfolio has also launched Emirati Kitchen that highlights UAE’s national cuisine. Emirati Kitchen’s menu features authentic Emirati dishes such as fish jasheed, chicken machbous and lamb thareed prepared alongside international classics and contemporary cuisine.
EKFC says that its “Michelin-trained and award-winning chefs” can cater for events that range from small family gatherings to large gatherings for thousands of people.
In June, EKFC entered into a partnership with Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai to become the latter’s exclusive F&B partner for the live entertainment venue. EKFC provides the full range of catering and hospitality services including menu development, food production, logistics, as well as service staff for its events and conferences.
Mohammad Al Falasi, assistant vice president for Business Development said: “As a globally renowned leading hospitality provider, our expansion into events catering is an exciting, natural progression. Now everyone can experience the talented craftsmanship of our award-winning chefs and our world-class events team, whether that’s in the comfort of their own homes, or at a major event.”
In 2020, EKFC launched Foodcraft which is an online food delivery service that consists of frozen meals, meal kits and freshly baked items prepared in EKFC’s kitchens and available for customers to order in the UAE.
More recently, earlier this year, it opened the world’s largest vertical farm. Located near Al Maktoum International Airport at Dubai World Central, the 330,000 sqft facility will produce more than 1 million kilograms of high-quality vegetables annually, while requiring 95 per cent less water than conventional agriculture. The hydroponic farm is the first vertical farm for Emirates Crop One, a joint venture between EKFC and Crop One.
