Virgin Atlantic has announced brand new services to the Maldives and Turks and Caicos for winter 2023.
Both routes will operate from Heathrow, with three-times-weekly winter seasonal flights to the Maldives commencing on October 22, 2023, followed by a twice-weekly year-round Turks and Caicos service starting on November 15 next year.
Virgin has confirmed to Business Traveller that the new Turks and Caicos route will operate in conjunction with the carrier’s existing Montego Bay service, routing Heathrow-Turks and Caicos-Montego Bay.
Fares for the new routes have yet to be announced – tickets for the Maldives will go on sale on November 30, while those to Turks and Caicos will be available from January 11, 2023.
Ahead of this Virgin Atlantic Holidays has announced a seven-night package to the Maldives – which will go on sale tomorrow (Friday November 18) – priced at £2,359 per person based on two adults travelling together, and including flights and bed and breakfast accommodation at Hard Rock Maldives.
Both of the new services will be operated by the carrier’s B787-9 aircraft configured with 31 seats in Upper Class, 35 in Premium and 192 in economy.
Virgin Atlantic will go head-to-head with British Airways on both routes.
