The Hoxton has partnered with Brompton Bicycles to offer guests at its London hotels access to free bike hire.
The partnership will see guests staying at the Shoreditch, Holborn, Southwark and soon-to-open Shepherd’s Bush hotels able to borrow the folding bicycles to explore the capital.
The Hoxton will also provide bespoke maps which include recommendations of the team’s favourite local spots.
Guests can hire the bikes by talking to front of house staff. If there is a lack of availability, the hotel will provide a special promo code allowing them access to free Brompton hire from any of the 40+ locations around London.
Rob Andrews, COO of The Hoxton said:
“Since The Hoxton launched over a decade ago, we’ve encouraged guests to get out and explore the neighbourhoods we immerse ourselves in and this partnership with Brompton helps them to do just that.
“While this isn’t the first time we’ve offered bike hire, Brompton offers even more flexibility for guests, and is a natural partner for The Hoxton with our shared brand pillars of great design, community spirit and innovation. We’re excited to see how this collaboration will enhance the Hox experience.”
Julian Scriven from Brompton Bike Hire added:
“We’re really pleased to be partnering with The Hoxton offering guests the unique opportunity to explore the city on a Brompton. The partnership allows guests the chance to experience London’s historic streets and scenes in a fun and sustainable way via the medium of two wheels, with no congestion or public transport hassle to contend with.”
The Hoxton brand launched in London’s Shoreditch in 2006, and is part of global lifestyle hotel company Ennismore, in which Accor holds a majority stake.
The Hoxton has 11 hotels open across Europe and North America in locations including London, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, Barcelona, New York, Portland, Chicago, Downtown Los Angeles.
The Hoxton recently announced plans to open seven new hotels in Europe by early 2024.
This includes the brand’s fourth hotel in London which is set to open in December in Shepherd’s Bush, along with debuts in Brussels, Berlin, Edinburgh, Vienna and a second property in Amsterdam next year.
