The 262-room Grand Hyatt Shenzhou Peninsula is situated on Hainan island in the southern Chinese city of Wanning.
The property’s design has been inspired by Balinese architecture, with rooms starting from 53 sqm and offering views of either the hotel’s garden or the ocean.
Facilities include an indoor swimming pool, an oceanfront pool, and a third outdoor pool which is reserved for Grand Club guests, as well as a Yu restaurant specialising in dim sum and Hainan cuisine, trattoria-style eatery Luigi’s, and the beach club Pool House for cocktails and Asian barbecue dishes.

The Riser Pavilion is also set to open next year, offering three dining and bar concepts “devoted to the finest experiences of Japanese cuisine and beverages, including sushi, yakitori, and Japanese beer and sakes”.
Meeting and events spaces include a 600 sqm Grand Ballroom, and two lawns for events or weddings.
Hyatt currently lists 16 Grand Hyatt properties in greater China, including hotels in Beijing, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
A 232-room Grand Hyatt hotel is also under development in China’s southwestern city of Kunming.
