IHG Hotels and Resorts has said that it will open a new Holiday Inn and Suites Dubai Science Park property later this year.

The hotel features a total of 324 guestrooms, suites and one-bedroom apartments, all of which include a Digital TouchPad panel and a Bluetooth speaker with wireless charging.

The one-bedroom suites will also be equipped with features such as a built-in kitchenette, cookware and flatware, washer and dryer.

The hotel will offer seven ultra-modern events and conference spaces and an extensive upper mid-scale ballroom which can accommodate over 440 guests.
It will also have a fully-equipped fitness center, an outdoor pool and an activity space too.

IHG says that the new property is a sustainable hotel that operates on no single-use plastic; has an onsite water bottling plant; and features digital amenities in all its guest rooms, suites and apartments.

The water bottling plant built inside the hotel reduces the consumption of at least 1,500 plastic bottles a day by producing glass bottled water, according to IHG. The plant has a 3,400-liter capacity, generating 80 liters per hour of cold and room temperature still water as well as sparkling water.

IHG says that it has made an effort to promote diversity in the staff that it is hiring – currently, Holiday Inn and Suites Dubai Science Park has around 60 per cent male and 40 per cent female staff already on board, with the hiring process still in progress.

The hotel’s food and beverage offering include a pool bar; Kitchen25 which serves international cuisine; and Café Verde which will also include communal working spaces. The hotel will also be home to Irish pub McGettigan’s and which will include an al fresco seating area too.
