Langham Hospitality Group will open its first property in Seattle in 2026.

The Langham, Seattle and The Langham Residences will be housed in a new 42-storey building rising around and above the façade of the Terminal Sales Annex Building, which is a designated historic landmark.

Architect Kengo Kuma and Associates took inspiration from the silhouettes of Pacific Northwest basalt sea stack formations as well as the “arrangement of telescopic volumes seen in Seattle’s 1920s Art Deco architecture”.

Once the construction is complete, The Langham, Seattle will feature 187 rooms and suites with interiors by Rottet Studio, a light-filled breakfast room, outdoor terrace, lobby level cocktail bar, and a wellness centre with a spa, pool and gym.

There will also be meeting and events spaces, all of which will include natural daylight.

The hotel and residences are within ten minutes walking distance of landmarks such as Pike Place Market and the Seattle Art Museum.

Brett Butcher, CEO of Langham Hospitality Group, commented:

“We look forward to bringing The Langham’s luxury hospitality, which celebrates the everyday, to the heart of Seattle’s central business district at this storied location and building great memories for our guests and the community.

“The Langham, Seattle and its residences will be a powerful testimony to how intelligently-designed mixed-use developments can create exceptional value.”

The Langham Hospitality Group currently has more than 30 projects either confirmed or in development stage. These include The Langham, Boston, The Langham Chicago and The Langham, Venice which is set to open in 2025.

This year the group opened its first resort property, located in Australia’s Gold Coast.
