Emirates will once again offer a temporary third daily flight between Gatwick and Dubai next month.

The Gulf carrier increased its frequency on the route in late July / early August, in part to accommodate customers affected by capacity adjustments at Heathrow.

The airline has confirmed that a third daily service will operate between October 15 and 29, coinciding with the school half term break.

Flight EK11 will depart Dubai at 0240, arriving into Gatwick at 0710, with the return leg EK12 leaving the south London airport at 0930 and landing back into Dubai at 1935. The additional frequency will be served by a B777 aircraft.

Last month Emirates reached an agreement with officials at Heathrow airport over passenger caps, with the carrier stating that it was “willing to work with the airport to remediate the situation”.

The carrier currently operates nine daily flights to and from London, including a double daily service to Gatwick, six flights per day to Heathrow, and a recently resumed daily service to Stansted.
