Pullman opened its newest property in Qatar, the Doha West Bay, on August 2, 2022.
The upscale hotel that caters to residents, leisure and business travellers has 468 rooms, suites and apartments overall.
It includes 375 hotel rooms and suites (including four Pullman Penthouses) spanning 47 floors and across 11 categories. In addition, there are 93 stylish apartments, all fully furnished, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and some available with balconies.
“Our apartments cater for demand in extended stays and serviced living options, combining the luxury of a five-star hotel and the comfort of your own home,” said Ehab Barghouth, general manager of Pullman Doha West Bay.
With regards to its F&B offerings, the property includes multiple dining options. Signature Avenue restaurant is open all day and is themed around bringing people together through the restaurant’s signature concept – CuisInMotion, which gives diners an opportunity to watch the culinary team in action as diners traverse through a gastronomic journey through four cosmopolitan avenues of the world – Champs Elysees in France, Tsukiji in Japan, Bosphorus in Turkey and Broadway in the US.
Italian food can be found at Bice which also boasts of an impressive cellar, whereas The Score is a trendy sports bar that blends a casual setting with contemporary American cuisine – and perhaps a great spot to catch the upcoming football World Cup matches should you not be able to get into the stadiums within the city. The Junction meanwhile serves a selection of healthy dishes, sweet and savoury delicacies and classic afternoon tea with a modern twist.
Serving as an ideal destination for business meetings within the city, there are a total of seven meeting rooms, each of which has another room right next to it where attending delegates can unwind over a cup of coffee or play foosball too.
The lavish Al Thuraya Ballroom is reportedly one of the largest in Qatar and can accommodate up to 700 people. It includes high ceilings, Arabesque-designed walls, a Swarovski chandelier and an expansive private bridal room.
The property has a fully-equipped Pullman Fit gym that offers a ladies-only and mixed-gym facilities, alongside a series of Les Mills exercise classes.
Art is a central focus of the property. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed into the lobby space by an impressive sculptural globe. The piece is created by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur and represents a time, place, and sense of travel and discovery. As guests walk through the lobby, they will find a stunning collection of playful sculptures complemented by carefully curated decorative artefacts and books. The art concept will be completed later this year with the launch of the Artist Playground, a dedicated space in the lobby for inspirational art exhibitions by local and international artists.
