The Marriott Hotels brand has debuted in the city of Barranquilla, the capital of Colombia’s Atlantico department.

The city in northwestern Colombia is known for its annual Carnival of Barranquilla, with beaches located to the north of the city.

Barranquilla Marriott Hotel has a modern design, several F&B outlets, an outdoor pool, fitness centre and 1,765 sqm of meeting space including a ballroom for 750 people.

The 191 rooms and nine suites feature warm wood tones, bright colours, work areas, open closets and LED TVs.

Guests can also enjoy specially curated in-room TED content, following the brand’s partnership with the media organisation.

The property’s Amira Restaurant offers local cuisine, while the Meira Café showcases Colombian coffee, local breads and pastries. The hotel’s Rum Room also offers liquor tastings and pairings.

The M Club is open to Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite and Ambassador Elite members as well as guests whose room includes club access, and includes complimentary breakfast, evening drinks and hors d’oeuvres.
