Virgin Atlantic has launched its Guaranteed Availability initiative, ensuring reward seat availability across all cabins.

A minimum of 12 reward seats will be offered on every flight across the carrier’s global network as soon as the flight goes on sale. This includes two seats in Upper Class, two in Premium and eight in economy.

The airline says that this “opens up a new world of travel possibilities”, particularly at peak times.

The airline has also unveiled an additional benefit for Gold Card members, who can now turn any seat into a reward seat by using double Virgin Points. This is possible even if there is no reward seat available on their desired dates. Members can call the dedicated Gold Card booking line to secure their desired seat up to 60 days prior to departure.

Siobhan Fitzpatrick, chief digital and marketing officer at Virgin Atlantic, commented:

“We’re committed to rewarding those who choose to fly with Virgin Atlantic and that means understanding the ways in which we can improve our loyalty offering. We knew our customers wanted more opportunities to spend their hard-earned points and our announcements today ensure they have more ways to do so.

“Gold Reward Seats are a recognition of our most loved and loyal members, and alongside our enhanced Guaranteed Availability of reward seats, underpins our commitment to ensuring our Flying Club is as rewarding as it can be.”
