Low-cost carrier Air Arabia has opened bookings for its special Match Day Shuttle flights between Sharjah and Doha over the course of the upcoming FIFA World Cup this year.

Air Arabia will operate 14 shuttle flights daily from Sharjah International Airport to Hamad International Airport in Doha from November 21, 2022 until December 18, 2022.

It said that these flights are only available for ticket holders of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and will operate alongside Air Arabia’s trice-daily scheduled flights to Doha.

Passengers on board the shuttle flights are entitled to 10kg of hand baggage each.

FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ticket holders must additionally register for a Hayya card which acts as a permit to enter Qatar, access the stadiums as well as get free transportation to and from the stadiums using the Doha metro directly from Hamad International Airport.

Keeping in mind the traffic conditions, the airline suggested that passengers choosing the match day flight select a flight that lands at least four hours before the match, and departs four hours after the match.

“Air Arabia’s shuttle flights between Sharjah and Doha during the FIFA World Cup 2022 will provide fans with easy, reliable, and timely access in and out of Doha to enjoy the matches and return right after,” said Adel Al Ali, group chief executive officer at Air Arabia.

Recently, another UAE-based airline, flydubai opened bookings on its website for the Match Day Shuttle flights between Dubai and Doha for the World. Return Match Day Shuttle flights are available from $258 in economy class and from $998 in business class. For the duration of the tournament, flydubai will operate up to 30 daily return flights between Dubai and Doha. These services will operate from Dubai World Central (DWC) and will be exclusively available to match ticket holders.
