Hilton has announced plans for the first property under its lifestyle Canopy brand in Turkey.

The 110-room hotel will form part of the Taksim 360 urban renewal development located next to the city’s Taksim Square, which will also include housing, offices and shopping zones.

Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim is scheduled to open next year, and will feature three F&B outlets including a destination bar, as well as two meeting spaces and the brand’s signature Canopy Central, which will act as the hotel’s hub.

The new signing brings Hilton’s portfolio of trading or pipeline hotels in Turkey to 100 properties.

The Canopy by Hilton brand was launched in 2014, with the first mainland Europe hotel opening in Zagreb in November 2018.

There are currently around 35 Canopy hotels open worldwide, with another 26 properties under development.
