UAE national carrier Etihad Airways is launching five seasonal routes this week.

Three seasonal services took off on June 15, connecting Abu Dhabi to Nice in the French Côte d’Azur, the city of Heraklion on the Greek island of Crete, and Malaga in Spain.

The route between Abu Dhabi and Crete will operate from June 15-September 17, twice a week aboard the carrier’s A320 aircraft.

Etihad will operate its service to Malaga between June 15-September 18, twice a week, using its B787.

It will also deploy its B787 across the Abu Dhabi-Nice sector which will operate twice a week between June 15-September 18.

Etihad’s summer schedule meanwhile will also include two additional new routes which will begin this week to the islands of Santorini in Greece and Zanzibar in Tanzania.

Etihad will fly passengers aboard its A320 between June 16-September 18, thrice a week, to Santorini.

From June 17-September 18, it will operate thrice weekly flights to Zanzibar from Abu Dhabi using its A320.

Guests on the inaugural flights along these new routes are being presented with an exclusive Etihad wellbeing kit. The kits include a mini tote bag upcycled from flight blankets and a limited-edition reusable infuser water bottle.

Etihad won the awards for Airline with the Best Cabin Crew as well as the ‘Airline with the Best First Class’ at the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2022 which were held last month.

Later this year, the carrier will introduce its new economy class soft furnishings and tableware.
