Accor has debuted its Movenpick brand in Croatia, with a 104-room hotel in the capital Zagreb.
Movenpick Zagreb is situated in the city’s New Zagreb business zone, around ten minutes from Zagreb Franjo Tudman airport and 20 minutes from the city centre.
Each of the hotel’s rooms have been named after a different city, with decor including a map of that destination, “initiating a journey around the globe for future return guests”.

Facilities include Nikola’s restaurant The New Yorker bar, a 24-hour fitness centre, a 120-seat conference room and two smaller meeting rooms.
Movenpick Hotels and Resorts was acquired by Accor in 2018, and last year announced plans to open its first property in Poland, housed within the historic Grand Hotel on Pilsudski Street opposite the city’s main rail station.
Commenting on the opening Mincho Pachikov, general manager of Movenpick Zagreb, said:
“Opening the first Movenpick hotel in Croatia is a great privilege and a huge milestone for local hospitality and tourism industry. We are happy to introduce the finest level of guest service in a truly premium environment. We invite guests from all over the world to discover a unique hotel, where everything is taken care of to prepare an unforgettable stay.
“Furthermore, continuing the Movenpick brand long-standing commitment, Movenpick Zagreb embraces an eco-friendly mindset and holistic approach to sustainability; it is the first hotel on the Zagreb market to implement premium bathroom cosmetics with plant based ingredients and organic grade extracts in refillable dispensers, thus limiting single-use guest-facing plastic use.
“In addition, we offer numerous charging stations for electric vehicles and are in the process of implementing paperless guest information solution. I am confident our new hotel will win the hearts of every guest, from the international travellers to the local community.”
