Staycity is opening its sixth property in France, with an aparthotel in Paris’ La Défense business district.
The Dublin-based aparthotel operator will open the property in the north-west of Paris on June 13. Staycity Paris La Défense will include 216 studio and one-bed apartments, sleeping up to four people, with fully equipped kitchenettes alongside living, dining and workspaces.
The property will also have on-site parking, a laundry room, gym, 24-hour reception and a Staycafé selling breakfast as well as hot and cold snacks and drinks throughout the day.
Jason Delany, Staycity’s director of brand, product and marketing, commented:
“We are delighted to be opening this new-build property in such a modern, vibrant area. France is a key destination for Staycity and La Défense joins our existing Parisian properties in Gare de L’Est and Marne la Vallée and outside the capital in Bordeaux, Marseille and Lyon. Next year we will open at Charles de Gaulle Airport giving our guests a fantastic choice of Staycity destinations across France.”
Last year the operator renovated its Gare de l’Est property in the city’s 10th arrondissement.
Staycity operates 30 properties across 14 European destinations, with recent openings in Manchester, Frankfurt and Dublin. There are two further sites in Dublin set to open this year, followed by properties in London and Paris in 2023. There are also additional sites under development in Germany, Portugal, the UK and Jersey.
The operator states that by the end of the year it will operate 5,500 apartments, increasing to 9,500 by the end of 2025.
