United Airlines has unveiled a new range of amenity kits for premium passengers on long-haul international and key transcontinental routes.

The carrier has partnered with New York-based travel lifestyle brand Away to produce three kits inspired by “iconic suitcases and versatile accessories”.

The range includes:

  • The ‘Hard Pod’, with a sturdy shell and interior elastic band to keep items in place – available for customers travelling in United Polaris on long-haul international services
  • The ‘Zip Case’, with a water resistant cover for storing liquids – available for passengers travelling in business class on premium transcontinental routes
  • The ‘Sports Pouch’ – available for customers travelling in Premium Plus on long-haul international services

The bags contain earbuds, a dental kit and an eye mask, as well as skincare products from Sunday Riley including face and hand creams, a lip balm and cleansing cloths (items vary between kits).

Sunday Riley also provides United with products for its premium cabin toilets and Club lounges, including the carrier’s recently opened facility at Newark airport.

United will be the only airline to offer amenity kits designed by Away, and commenting on the news Melissa Weiss, Away’s chief marketing officer, said:

“We are thrilled to partner with United to bring Away’s thoughtfully designed products to United travellers around the globe.

“United’s mission to connect the world and their dedication to making travel as effortless as possible aligns with Away’s mission to create a more open world by making travel easier.

“We are certain this unique relationship between our two companies will do just that, making the travel experience more seamless for journeys near or far.”
