Swiss carrier L’Odyssey has announced plans to launch a seasonal route between London City airport and the seaside resort of Deauville in France’s Normandy region.

The twice-weekly seasonal service will launch on July 1, with flights departing Deauville Normandie airport on Fridays and Sundays at 1310, arriving into LCY at 1315, before returning at 1345 and landing back into Deauville at 1550.

The one hour five minute flight will be operated by a 27-seater Saab 340B aircraft.

It will be the only nonstop flight from the UK to Deauville this summer – L’Odyssey is not the first carrier to ply the route though, with Cityjet previously having operated flights between the two airports .

Swiss airline L’Odyssey will also offer seasonal flights between Deauville and Geneva this summer.

Commenting on the news L’Odyssey founder and managing director, Clément Pellistrandi, said:

“With L’Odyssey, we want to provide our customers with an intimate travel experience: a cozy cabin with 27 seats, very fast boarding procedures, no irritating baggage issues and reliable service. Offering time and serenity, a new luxury!”
