Standard International has announced plans for the third property under The Peri Hotel brand.

The owner of The Standard and Bunkhouse brands launched The Peri Hotel concept in 2020, with the reflagging of two existing properties in the Thai destinations of Hua Hin and Khao Yai, and has now unveiled plans for a new-build hotel in the country’s capital.

The Peri Hotel, Bangkok Sukhumvit is scheduled to open in 2025, and will feature 169 rooms, “a lively lobby bar and public living area”, a specialty restaurant, fitness centre, pool bar and “city beach club”.

The group said that the hotel design would be “comfortable and clean, with an eclectic combination of contemporary architecture, industrial interiors and mid-century furnishings”.

Standard International describes The Peri Hotel brand as offering travellers “a home away from home, where they come to find life’s most basic pleasures done just right”.

“With its roots stemming from the ethos of The Standard, The Peri Hotel brand upends expectations of typical inward-looking resorts by offering one of a kind experiences deeply embedded in each destination, while being informed by and embracing of their local communities,” the press release continued.

As previously reported, Standard International will open the first property under The Standard Hotels brand in Thailand this summer, housed within the 78-storey King Power Mahanakhon Building in Bangkok’s central business district.

Commenting on the news Amar Lalvani, executive chairman of Standard International, said:

“The Peri, Bangkok Sukhumvit, our third Peri hotel, is the next step in our regional expansion of The Peri brand.

“The Peri brand, with its soulful hospitality and commitment to community and sense of place, speaks to today’s traveller who wants dependability, simplicity and authenticity to inform their experiences, and to developers who want strong, reliable and consistent operations that deliver financial performance.”
