Dorsett Hospitality International is set to launch aparthotel brand Dao by Dorsett this summer.
The Asia-based hotel company will debut the brand in West London on June 1, with a property adjacent to the existing Dorsett Hotel on Shepherd’s Bush Green.
The company says that the brand will offer “locally minded” fully serviced apartments in central locations across the world, featuring “slick and chic city interiors”, Dorsett bespoke beds, daily housekeeping and hampers filled with essentials.
The accommodations are also described as “socially driven”, with the brand aiming to create opportunities for encounters amongst locals, guests and visitors alike. The properties will offer, for instance, co-living spaces and social hours.
The apartments will come in either one or two bedroom configurations, along with accessible studios, with multi-functional kitchenettes and living space to work and relax. Some of the units will also include private outdoor terraces.
The brand’s first property, Dao by Dorsett West London, is located a five-minute walk from Shepherd’s Bush underground station and Westfield London shopping centre in White City. The property will comprise 74 apartments with a kitchenette, living and dining space and en-suite bathroom, along with an “entertainment space”, restaurant and café.
The site first opened in 1910 as Shepherd’s Bush Cinematograph Theatre and the property plans to continue the building’s connection with the local community by championing the local area and encouraging guests to explore the activities and culture in the vicinity.
The brand also states that its aparthotel features solar panels on the roof for energy efficiency.

To celebrate the opening of the first property, guests benefit from 15 per cent off flexible rates and 20 per cent off non-refundable rates when booking a stay at Dao by Dorsett West London by May 31.
The Dao by Dorsett brand joins the company’s portfolio of brands which include Dorsett Hotels, Silka, and d.Collection.
