Aegean Airlines has opened a new lounge in the Extra Schengen Area A of Athens International airport.
The 1,200 sqm facility has been inspired “by the simple, elegant architecture of Greece”, with materials including marble, terrazzo, glass and wood.
Features include free internet access, a media lounge for networking, social lounge for “staying connected”, and a quiet lounge for relaxation.
There are two coffee stations, “a large dining area with a dedicated wine bar”, several meeting rooms, and recliner chairs offering “an almost 360-degree airport view”.
The space was designed by K-Studio, which was also responsible for Aegean’s Thessaloniki lounge which opened last year.
The lounge is open to business class and Miles+Bonus Gold passengers, as well as eligible members of the Star Alliance network.
Operational hours are currently daily from 0400 to 2300, and the lounge is located on level 3 of Area A before the terminal’s Central Square.
The carrier also offers a renovated Intra Schengen lounge in Area B of the airport.
