Hyatt has opened its first select service hotel in the Japanese city of Kyoto.
The 239-room Hyatt Place Kyoto is directly connected to the Marutamachi station on the Karasuma subway line, around ten minutes from Kyoto station.
Facilities include a fitness centre, free wifi, The Kitchen for a western-style buffet breakfast, and the 24-hour Lobby Bar for meals, specialty coffees, premium beers and champagne.
To celebrate the opening, members of the World of Hyatt loyalty programme can earn 500 bonus points when staying at the hotel by June 30, 2022 – more information is available at worldofhyatt.com/newhotelbonus.
The Hyatt Place Kyoto join the existing Park Hyatt Kyoto and Hyatt Regency Kyoto in the city considered Japan’s “cultural capital”.
Recent openings under the Hyatt Place brand include Hyatt Place Zurich Airport The Circle, and Hyatt Place New York Chelsea.
Commenting on the Kyoto opening general manager Takuma Yoshimura said:
“As Japan’s international borders start to reopen, we are excited to welcome guests to the first Hyatt Place hotel in Kyoto.
“Our hotel’s central location makes it easy for our guests to travel around Kyoto, visit the city’s many cultural and traditional sites as well as attend business appointments.
“With our smartly designed social spaces and guestrooms with separate work, play and sleep areas, our multitasking guests can easily accomplish what they need to do while on the road.”
