LOT Polish Airlines has announced plans for a new route between Warsaw and Mumbai this summer.
The flag carrier confirmed the news in a Facebook post, stating that “#Delhi and #Mumbai are the latest destinations to be added to our international route network”.
LOT’s existing service to Delhi resumes this week (March 29), while tickets for the new twice-weekly Warsaw-Mumbai route are now on sale, for flights commencing on May 31.
Both services will be operated by the carrier’s B787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The news is the latest in a series of recent route announcements and resumptions to India’s west coast city.
Last week Finnair announced plans to return to Mumbai for the first time in 13 years, with a thrice-weekly service launching in July.
Meanwhile Emirates has outlined plans to return to “pre-pandemic flight frequencies” across its Indian network from next month.
The Gulf carrier will offer a total of 35 weekly flights between Dubai and Mumbai, including a daily A380 superjumbo service.
