Fully vaccinated travellers will be exempt from quarantine when visiting South Korea from April 1.

The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that those who have received two vaccine doses at least 14 days prior to arrival, but no more than 180 days ago, will be free from quarantine.

Travellers who do not meet this criteria but have had a booster jab will also be exempt from quarantine.

The exemption does not apply to travellers from Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Myanmar, who must still quarantine for seven days.

Overseas visitors must upload their vaccine records and contact information to the country’s Q-Code website prior to arriving in the country, and scan the provided QR code at immigration.

Malaysia plans to reopen to fully vaccinated travellers next month with no requirement to quarantine upon entry, and Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines have also waived quarantine for fully vaccinated travellers.
