Hilton has opened its largest hotel in Asia-Pacific, located on Singapore’s Orchard Road.

The 1,080-room Hilton Singapore Orchard is a conversion from the former Mandarin Orchard Singapore, and is situated in the city’s renowned shopping district, with direct access to the Mandarin Gallery shopping centre.

The hotel features contemporary design that pays homage to the city’s history and agricultural heritage, with botanical references in the interiors and artwork.

Rooms and suites feature energy-efficient technology such as motion sensor-controlled lighting and air-conditioning, and guests can also use digital keys to access the room.

The property is home to four dining venues: all day-dining restaurant Estate; lounge and bar Ginger.Lily which offers botanical-inspired afternoon tea, handcrafted cocktails and artisanal pastries; two Michelin-starred Shisen Hanten which serves Szechuan cuisine by Chen Kentaro; and Chatterbox which offers local specialties.

The Asian outpost of LA eatery Osteria Mozza from celebrated chef Nancy Silverton will join the hotel in mid-April.

Additional facilities include more than 2,400 sqm of events space, an Executive Lounge, an outdoor pool, and two 24-hour fitness centres.

Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton, commented:

“Today we celebrate a key milestone with the opening of our largest hotel in Asia Pacific. Hilton Singapore Orchard is a fantastic showcase of our flagship brand and places us in a strong position to usher in a new era of travel. Together with our partners at OUE Limited, we are confident that the hotel will be in a leading position to cater to the travel demand that we anticipate will come rapidly as global economies and travel networks reconnect.”

This news comes as Singapore begins to ease its Covid-19 travel restrictions for fully vaccinated visitors.
