Next time you are celebrating a special occasion, from a business lunch to family ‘workation’, Hilton will help you catch the moment on camera.

In what it claims is a world first, the hotel group has launched its ‘Waitographer’ programme in the UAE – an initiative that trains restaurant waiting staff in smartphone photography so they can record guests’ celebrations with sharp, colourful and vibrant images that display the correct composition.

Hilton has brought on board renowned Middle East photographer Roger Moukarzel to run workshops designed to hone waiting staff photographic skills.

After completion of the training programme, team members will receive a certificate and a badge so guests can easily identify ‘Waitographers’ while staying or dining in a Hilton property and ask for their assistance when they wish to have their picture taken.

The ‘Waitographer’ programme is up and running with almost 100 Hilton team members having already attended Roger Moukarzel’s photography workshop, and more scheduled to receive their training soon.

After launching in the UAE, the Waitographer workshops will roll out across the Hilton portfolio around the world via online training courses.
