Swissport has opened its second Aspire lounge at Manchester airport, located in the recently expanded Terminal 2.
The 240 sqm lounge is described as “bright and airy” with Manchester-inspired artwork, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the airfield. Passengers are advised to follow signs for the ‘premium lounges’ once through security.
There is seating for up to 81 guests, a fully-equipped business area with desk booths allowing travellers to work in privacy, free wifi, and table-side charging facilities.
There are also complimentary digital magazines and newspapers, and a selection of hot food, snacks, a variety of alcoholic beverages, hot drinks and soft drinks.
The lounge is open from 0500 until 1300 on weekdays, and from 0400 to 1300 on weekends, and is open to all passengers for a fee of £29.99 per adult (£18.49 per child).
The airport also houses an Aspire lounge in its Terminal 1, which passengers can visit once through passport control.
Swissport currently operates 60 lounges at 35 airport around the world, with forthcoming facilities at Kilimanjaro and Ontario airports, as well as a second location at Perth airport.
It recently announced plans to open its first Aspire lounge in Asia later this year, located at Tokyo Narita International’s Terminal 2.
